Couples & Relationship Counseling

Moving  forward, together

Relationships aren't always easy. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in a rut, spinning our wheels, and wondering how we got here. While this can feel awful and overwhelming, it helps to know you're not alone and there are ways to start moving forward again.

Couples therapy offers a mutually safe space for you and your partner to explore your relationship challenges. It can be a place to rebuild, restructure, and/or redefine your connection.

We work from an integrative and evidence-based foundation, which includes skill-building components, psychoeducation, gentle direction, and the challenging of incongruities --all within a nonjudgmental environment. The goal is to explore your unique relationship concerns in a manner that allows you both to feel seen and heard.

Here are a few areas of focus where couples counseling can help you create positive change in your relationship and move forward together:

  • Navigating conflict / arguments
  • Building trust
  • Improving communication
  • Understanding the impact of family of origin wounds
  • Processing issues related to sex, intimacy, & desire discrepancies
  • Recovering from infidelity
  • Working through financial issues
  • Negotiating parenting style differences
  • Exploring racial, cultural, & religious differences

In addition, couples therapy can help you at any stage of your relationship; regardless of your marital status, age, race, faith, or sexual orientation. It can also take the form of pre-marital counseling, distance relationship navigation, separation guidance, and maintaining amicable co-parenting relationships after a divorce.
